The last two weeks of September were fanatical for all CLC Sales Associates. You could feel the tension mounting. Requests to work Saturdays and overtime were feverishly being granted, phones were ringing off the hook, and you could see the curious stares of eyes peeking over cubicles as another employee gleefully walked their way to the sales board to put their well-deserved "X" next to their name, indicating yet another loan had been committed to and they were one step closer to victory...
On Wednesday, October 1, 2008, tension levels were at an all-time high on the Sales Floors of CLC. Three individuals stood outside the Accounting office waiting for the final announcement of who had the highest production for the month of September. Every few minutes you could hear a nervous giggle or whisper as they playful antagonized each other.
FINALLY! The verdict was in! Doug Figueroa of Riverside, CA was the highest producer for the month of September! Maybe it doesn't seem like such a big deal to most, but THIS month is certainly was... Doug ended up walking away with a PT Cruiser!
Commercial Lending Capital, Inc made the decision to roll out their most aggressive sales contest ever the beginning of September. A 30 day contest for all in-house Account Executives and the highest producer of sold loans would win a new car. "The concept was simple", says COO, Nicole Ferguson. "We wanted to build company morale, assure our employees and clients we're not going anywhere, and we're always in favor of some friendly in-house competition!" Ferguson claims CLC does numerous incentives to keep morale high. Last week the top female Executives were treated to a night on the town via stretch limousine to see Tina Turner at the Staples Center.
"The concept went over so well with our inside crew that we figured it was time we rewarded the guys that keep us fed", said Scott Oakley, President of CLC.
When Doug Figueroa was asked what his perception of the industry is right now, his response seemed rather obvious, "I just won a new car!" This would have to be the case, considering the fact to take home the car Doug closed 7 loans and did over 9.5MM in production the month of September!
Congratulations, Doug! Yes, this apparently IS proof that there are still some thriving, there is still a demand, and that there is still success for those who have the right level of dedication!
